Window Tinting Prices — What to Expect in 2026
We publish all our prices. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch. The price you see includes installation, old tint removal, and warranty.
Our packages range from $299 for 2 front windows in Carbon to $1,799 for a full vehicle plus windshield in Crystalline.
Price differences between shops usually come down to film quality. Cheap dyed film costs less but fades, bubbles, and fails within 2–4 years.
Professional installation, old tint removal (if applicable), glass cleaning, 3M manufacturer warranty, and post-install inspection.
Window tinting prices in Calgary range widely — from $100 at the cheapest shops using no-name dyed film, to $1,500+ for full coverage with premium ceramic or nano-ceramic film. Understanding what drives the price helps you make a decision you won’t regret.
| Package | Carbon (Colour Stable) | Ceramic IR | Crystalline |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Front Windows | $299 | $349 | $599 |
| Back Windows | $499 | $649 | $999 |
| Full Vehicle | $599 | $799 | $999 |
| Windshield Only | — | $599 | $899 |
| Full Vehicle + Windshield | — | $1,199 | $1,799 |
These prices apply to standard sedans, coupes, compact SUVs, and crew cab trucks. Oversized vehicles (Suburban, Expedition, full-size vans) may require a custom quote.
Film quality and brand — This is the single biggest factor. 3M Crystalline (multi-layer nano-ceramic) costs more per square foot than 3M Colour Stable (carbon). A generic dyed film from a budget shop costs a fraction of either — but will need replacement in 2–4 years. Over a 10-year period, a quality ceramic film installed once costs less than replacing cheap film three times.
Number of windows — More glass means more material and more labour. A two-door coupe with minimal glass costs less than a crew cab truck or three-row SUV.
Vehicle type — Some vehicles have complex glass shapes, multiple small windows, or specialty glass (panoramic roofs, glass hatches) that require more time and precision. Tesla glass roofs and large SUV rear sections are examples.
Old tint removal — If your vehicle has existing tint that needs to come off first, most shops charge extra. At Pro Window Tinting, we include old tint removal at no additional cost with any new tint package.
Warranty — Budget shops often offer a 1–3 year shop warranty (or none at all). 3M’s manufacturer warranty covers the film for the life of the vehicle. This warranty follows the vehicle, not the owner, which adds resale value.
Let’s do the math on a full vehicle tint over 10 years:
| Scenario | Initial Cost | Replacements | 10-Year Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget dyed film ($200) | $200 | 2–3 replacements @ $200 | $600–$800 |
| 3M Colour Stable ($599) | $599 | 0 (lifetime warranty) | $599 |
| 3M Ceramic IR ($799) | $799 | 0 (lifetime warranty) | $799 |
The budget option costs more in the long run and delivers worse performance every year as the film degrades. Quality ceramic film maintains its performance and appearance for the life of the vehicle.
